  • Ok.  X-2 ROCKS!  It was seriously a great movie.  The special effects were great, and Nightcrawler’s powers were done beautifully (exactly like this dream I had where I had Nightcrawler’s teleportation powers…that was one of the best dreams I’d ever had!).  The ending is cool, and has left me and my friends with many questions…I guess we’ll have to wait for the third installment to find the answers.

We went to Hollywood and ate at CPK which I had been craving for a while.  After we went to Mann’s Chinese Theatre and gawked at the handprint/footprints.  We took our picture with John Woo’s prints because he’s Chinese and so are we…we also saw the guy who played the mail-guy on Just Shoot Me!

Stupid security.  They wouldn’t let me inside as long as I had my camera (they wanted me to go put it in the car!  How ma-fan!) so Daniel and I walked out of the theatre and we went a little distance away, put the camera into Daniel’s pocket, waited 5 minutes and then went back in.

We went into the theatre at around 10:30, so we prepared ourselves to wait for a good 1.5 hours before we could see the movie.  The Just Shoot Me guy sat one aisle away from us!  In the middle of our wait, he rips his clothes off revealing a skin-tight Spiderman costume and he puts on the mask and runs around!  It was so funny.  He got hoots and a standing ovation.  But the security broke it up.

The film started and of course, in pure opening-night fashion, there was a lot of clapping and shouting and cheering.  It was exciting actually…sometimes you can’t help but cheer when the mutants gain the upper-hand against the stupid, oppressive humans…THE MOVIE WAS AWESOME…GO SEE IT!  GOOO!  NOW!

I just bought some really expensive sunglasses…BAD LORETTA!

Today (Saturday), I went to Tai Chi class with sweaty palms and fear in my heart.  We had to demo…for kids…the cruelest and most judgmental of all audiences; they go to a school across the street from the community center where TCWR teaches.  I was so scared that I’d F-up 24 in front of all the kids, and the fact that I messed up during practice didn’t help.  Luckily, when we had to demo it, my mind started working (for like the first time in weeks) and I didn’t miss a move…phew…

Tiffanie actually went first with a straight sword demo and her plan was to just wave her sword in front of the kids (“ooh, SHINY!”), do a pose, and then run off into the depths of Chinatown…and then we’d find her a few years later…living in the community center…or a supermarket…

After that was Tai-Chi (vomit with fear), then Dean demoed, Tuan and James did this thing…, Jessie did southern form or something, beginners Wushu did a sequence, (possibly more, but I don’t remember at all), and then these three guys did some stuff with swords.  Two of them wore yellow silks, and one of them wore orange silks…James called them Jolly Ranchers…but they’re fancy-schmancy uniforms one-upped us so I feel no remorse…they’re already rocking with their wushu skills…they don’t need pity….Oh hahaha…those three guys are actually really good friends…so good that like the group F4, they’re called W3, for wushu 3.  They’re so close…they make me sick with their wushu, their friendship, their speaking Chinese to each other, their running together…their doing PUSHUPS together…(don’t shift your eyes at me!  Tiffanie understands!  “yeah, strawberries make me fart…JEALOUS?!...” *at that moment, Tiff pushes Loretta into oncoming traffic and then claims that Loretta wanted to jump*  LIES!)

Then we went back to the community center and Jenny taught us the next part of 24 (which we forgot before…I can’t do a drop stance at all…sadness…) and then Brian went home but Jessie, Tiff, and I stayed behind to go get food with James, Jenny, Tuan, LeRon, and Michael.

After lunch, Tuan took us home and I stayed in Tiff’s apt to help her with Java.  I actually fixed her java in like 15 minutes but it wouldn’t execute so I thought it was just a problem with her project.  I re-did the project again, and tried running it, but to my horror it wouldn’t work…stupid Borland JBuilder…

While Tiff got ready for a B-day party, I used Tiffanie’s laptop this time and redid the project one last time and this time it worked!  Yay!  But of course, the problems never seem to end, and Tiffanie had problems zipping the file.  But we finished eventually and went off to Café 84, which stopped making Krispy Kremes, so I’m sorry my precious Hawaii friends, but I can’t bring them for you…sadness, but X-mas next year, I promise.

I bought a Jamba Juice, 5 bags of cheetoes, and then went home, ate my lunch leftovers (which leaked TWICE…bastard useless Styrofoam container!), printed out a past Statistics exam, and now I’m gonna shower and study until I die…I really don’t want to study but I have to…ahh, its really hard.  I know I probably won’t be able to go to Tai Chi this week and I’m missing out on a trip to a temple tomorrow…oh shit…life sucks…
