  • It’s my last full day here in Hawaii.  I’ll miss it.  I felt a lack of communication, and it killed my love for some.  I felt a new trust and it bred a new hope.  My family made me feel at home during a time when I really needed one.  My sister and I laughed uncontrollably while we sang about how hungry we were for pie.  I saw a beloved family pet slowly die, alone and in agony.  I made my precious baby puppy fat by feeding him table scraps at every meal.  I woke up to no alarm; and I slept to no schedule.


    Balance.
